Colourwave is a hybrid print method; it combines digital printing with screen printing and transfer printing. To enable adhesion on to the garment, prints require a clear layer onto the garment side of the print. This layer bonds with the garment. This layer needs to cover all of the print, therefore we add a small bleed around the print to ensure full adhesion. On light coloured garments this can look like a small dark outline around the print. On dark garments, this may look like a thin lighter outline around the print. This does not usually impact the overall look of the print. We endeavour to keep bleeds as thin as possible and normally do not exceed 0.3mm.
